Established in May 1998, the Wenzhou Food Supplies Company Group Ltd, a large scale state-owned enterprise, is under the direct control of the Wenzhou Economics and Trade Commission. The Group owns 300,000 square meters of food production base and has more than 3,000 employees. Its registered capital is 118 million RMB and its total asset is 786 million RMB. The Group has been adopting a strategy of diversified operations, with more than 80 companies under its control. It also bears the responsibility of providing food supplies to Wenzhou as well as stablizing food prices.
