Founded in 1978, Galanzâs predecessor was a township feather product plant. In 1992, Galanz invaded into the industry of household appliances with the ambition of building a famous Chinese brand in microwave oven industry and introducing microwave oven into Chinese households. Galanz started from the scratch in past ten years and rose rapidly from top one in China to top one in the world. Galanz produced 10000 microwave ovens in the first trial in 1993 and ascended to the top seat in China by its 25.1% market share in 1995, stepped over the threshold of 6 million sets in 1999 and became the largest professional microwave producer in the world. In 2001, Galanz set a record of 12 million for global output and sales volume and allowed Chinese to benefit from the new consumerism of âhigh grade and quality, but not high priceâ in the storm of âlight wave oven widespread stormâ. In 2006, Galanz kept its top position in terms of sales volume and market share of microwave ovens in China for twelve years consecutively and the won the championship of export volume of microwave ovens and foreign-exchange earned for nine years consecutively.
