Shandong Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd is the largest subsidiary company of Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corporation (JISG) in Jinan. The first heat of metal of Shandong Province was produced here. JISG is the among the first ten Iron & Steel enterprises in China. JISG is a extra large steel complex with business involving in industry, trade, scientific research, development and service in different parts of the country and different countries of the world.
The company imported the advance Water-cooled Centrifugal casting process and equipment in 1989 and began to produce ductile iron pipes in 1990. It is the first one that produces centrifugal casting ductile iron pipes according to ISO2531 (GB13295) in China.
As the main member of JISG, Shandong Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd is developing unceasingly depending on the superiority of the Group. The company has 1800 employees including 22 senior engineers and 88 engineers. Through the constant development and accumulation , the company fix assets has reached 1.5 billion yuan , the sales turnover of 2006 year is 3.9 billion yuan.
The company has sinter machines, pellet furnaces, blast furnaces that can make 1500 thousand tons of foundry pig iron and pig iron for steelmaking per year. There are 1set of 160t mixer, 5 sets of 10t induction furnaces, 6 sets centrifugal casting machines, 1 set of annealing furnace, 3 lines of finishing facilities including zinc coating machines, hydrolic testing machines, cement lining machines, inner grinding machines and bitumen spraying machines . The annual capacity of ductile iron pipes is 200 thousand tons of DN80—1200mm .The pipes have been served in most domestic municipal water supply projects , and they also have been exported to many Asian countries and African countries.；
Relying on the abundant technology and the advanced production and inspection facilities, the whole process of production from iron making to pipe producing can be controlled accurately and the quality of the products are comprehensively assured. The pig iron has got the honor of “Silver Medal” of china and “Nationwide customer satisfaction product”. Ductile iron pipes got the prize of “Shandong famous brand “in 1999, ”Ceertificate of Golden cup prize for Actual Quality of Metallurgical products” in 2000 and the prize of “first brand “ in the dame industry survey done by the National Technology Supervisory Burean in xxxxx company is expediting the development of non- steel industry. Some subsidiary companies have been established processing and casting .The subsidiary companies have been established which can do electromechanical equipment installation, Steel structure project, Vehicle transportation, Mechanical processing and casting. The subsidiary company also produce emulsion paint using in inner and outer wall, corrosive resistant coating and pipeline paint, thermal insulation materials.
The company has been awarded certificates of ISO9001:2000, ISO14001 and OSHMS.
