Molecular Formula: C4H8O
Product Performance: THF is a heterocyclic organic compound. It is a transparent, low-viscosity liquid with an ether-like smell. It dissolves in water and various organic solvents. It is flammable and can form explosive peroxy compounds in air. It has a density of 0.8892, refractive index of 1.405, boiling point of 66Centi-degree, and freezing point of -108.56Centi-degree.
Product Uses: As an important raw material in organic chemical and fine chemical industry, THF is widely used to produce resin solvent (tape coating, PVC top coating, cellulose film coating, plastic printing ink and thermoplastic polyurethane coating), reaction solvent (alkali alkyl compound, alkali aryl compound, aluminum hydride, boron hydride, steride and macro molecular organic polymer), chemical intermediate products (PTMEG which is one of the polymerized substances) and chromatographic solvent (with the method of gelatins filtering chromatogram).
