The lighted stripe is made of el-wire. El-Wire is low in power <br>consuming and produces no heat while burning. It is very safe and waterproof and not possible for electrical hazard. All wiring is perfectly built into the umbrella’s handle, with 2 AA batteries. Has on/off and twinkling light functions or static 4 options.<br>
