The polyszdccharide in Ningxia goji (Lycium barbarum L.) (or LBP) is one of the important effective compositions in this valuable fruit. It is characterized by its protein content, which is very rare in vegetarian polysaccharides. The side lateral chains of the goji polysaccharide are made of rhamnose, arabinose, xylose, seminose, galactose and glucose, while the protein backbone is composed of 18 amino acids. The side chains attach to the backbone by means of Glycan-0-Der. This glycoprotein of bioactivity is high in immunological enhancement. In accordance with modern medical researches. Goji polysaccharide can help upgrade human immunity. It has the functions of preventing & curing cancers, strengthening hematopoiesis, nourishing liver, lowering blood pressure and promoting cell activity. No side-effect has ever been found. Goji polysaccharide can control the division and differentiation of cells, and regulate the growth and consenescence of cells. Therefore, goji polysaccharide has been widely used in pharmacy manufacture and healthy food processing.

This goji polysaccharide is produced by means of supercritical CO2 extraction, water dissolving exaction, electrodialysis, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and freezing sublimation drying. The product is characterized by high purity, non-pollution and good solubility. This biological activator has remarkable effect on bodybuilding. The product is light brown powder. The products are packed and made in forms of bags (2 kg/bag), capsules, lozenges, instant solvable tablets and oral liquid.
