Description
We Sell KEMULEX Explosive, in which a water solution of ammonium nitrate and other oxidizers is dispersed in an oil/wax mixture, which is the fuel. It is the unique structure and high ratio of oxidizer to fuel that give emulsion explosives their specific properties. The fuel phase is known as a continuous phase because it surrounds and coats all of the oxidizer droplet s giving a large contact surface to the oxidizer. The oxidizer remains dispersed in the fuel to form a stable emulsion by means of a surfactant, an emulsifier.

KEMULEX is a known fact that the smaller the particle size of the ingredients of an explosive, the higher the velocity of detonation (VOD).Since the droplet size (0.2-10 microns)of emulsions are so fine, the VOD is very high. The VOD does decrease somewhat as the charge diameter decreases or as solids such as aluminum are added, but generally remains relatively high, when compared to other civil high explosives.

KEMULEX is cap-sensitive which means that it can be initiated by any No.8 strength detonator type on the market.
