Description
3 kW permanent magnet axial flux, 3 Phase 48 Volt generator with mechanical furling tail. Blade sweep is 13 feet diameter. Turbine unit is manufactured by local trades people in Port McNeill, British Columbia Canada. by CLN Machining & Fabricating Ltd.
We service what we sell!
Direct drive, no gearbox. At only 44 kg for the 1.3 kW, and 60 kg for the 3.0 kW, they are very light and compact.
Our Stators can be ordered with either 12, 24, or 48 volt coils at no extra cost.
The power output connector and turbine brake are accessible at the base of the tower.
Blades are super quiet. We have a unit installed at our shop and even in very high winds all we hear is a whisper.
To protect from over-speeding the RPM is mechanically controlled by a furling tail. This means that when the wind reaches 22-23 meters per second the tail will stay pointing into the wind and the turbine unit will furl away, slow down and again swing back facing the wind.

We fabricate the complete unit right here in our manufacturing facility: from the stator coils, rotors, steel frame and mast except the blades. This means we can test every unit. We do a dynamic run-up of every turbine to specific revolutions and record the volt and amp values. This certificate and the turbine serial number is attached to the turbine.

The conversion of wind-energy to electricity is quiet, safe, low maintenance and pollution-free. This form of renewable energy will no doubt increase your property value.

We can supply mast kits up to 60 feet.
