Autonics Corporation, the industrial automation giant is having a wide variety of rotary encoders for catering various needs in the automation domain. Rotary encoders are sensors for measuring the rotary parameters like rotational speed & rotation angle. Rotary encoders can be used for the linear motion detection & length measurement also. Autonics offers both incremental as well as absolute rotary encoders. With reference to the connectivity with the motor or the reduction gear the encoders are available in hollow shaft type & solid shaft type. Autonics is having encoders with body diameters of 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm solid shaft type. Also 40mm, 80mm & 100mm body diameter for hollow shaft encoders. Autonics offers various dimensions of shafts for the various customer needs. Autonics offers a wide variety of outputs from encoders. They are Totem pole output, PNP open collector output, NPN open collector output, direct PNP (voltage) output & line driver output. The absolute encoders are available with BCD, Binary & Gray code outputs. Autonics offers upto 10bits resolution absolute encoders. Apart from the normal configurations, Autonics offers measuring wheel type encoder & manual pulse generator encoders meant for winding machines. Autonics offers up to 3000P/R for 30mm encoders, 5000P/R for 40mm encoders, 8000P/R for 50mm encoders, 3200P/R for 80mm encoders and 10000P/R for 100mm encoders. Typical applications of the encoders are the closed loop speed control, stopping motor at right position, deciding X, Y, Z position in CNC machines, detecting the robot arm’s angle & position, Injection molding machines in plastic industry, Controlling of conveyor speed/position, elevator car position control, servo motor drives, controlling position of moving crane, cut to length application for sheets & wires, controlling the car parking, positioning the linear motion of the oxygen tube in steel refining ect. Autonics rotary encoders are of low cost & with high quality.
