Future Fuel (Briquettes) for Boilers, Brick Kilns & Gasification application etc.

Millions of tons of agricultural residues, forest residues and industrial waste are generated every year. When briquetted, these become valuable fuel having Calorific Value approaching that of Coal.

Briquettes made from agricultural residues and other biomass waste has following advantages over other fuels such as fire wood, loose biomass & coal.

-Consistent CV around 4000 kcal/kg (HCV)
-High density of +650 kg/m3 and convenient size for easy
transportation from long distance.
-Low moisture of around 8-10% for easy and efficient firing
-Round the year availability.
-It gives much higher boiler efficiency compared to firewood or loose biomass because of lower moisture, higher bulk density and lower ash content.
-There is no fly-ash when its burnt.
-Combustion is more uniform compared to coal.
- Boiler's steam requirement is faster due to higher quantity of volatile matter.
-It is inexhaustible because it's produced every year, and so forms a source of renewable energy.
-It is non-polluting because it has no Sulphur like coal.
-Fuel Briquettes produced from agro waste & biomass such as wood dust, groundnut shell, cotton shells, bagasse, mustard stalks, bamboo dust, pine needles, coir dust, sander dust, sun flower husk, soyabeen husk, & rice husk etc. are not only cheaper substitute of fossil fuel but also eco friendly fuel.
-It is expected that approx. 660 million tones of Coal, 234 million tones of Crude oil, 223 million tones of firewood and 67 million cubic meters of Gas will be required at that time to meet the domestic and industrial demand. Hence in the coming year densified fuel will be the future to meet the domestic as well as industrial demand.
