Description
Gulf Powder Polyester and Epoxy Coating Factory "Alwan" was established in 1993 under license of Oxyplast of Belgium.

Product: Protective Pipe Coatings (BASF PE50-6109)

Specifications: Powder-primer based on epoxy resin, suitable for the polyethylene coating of metal pipes. Special properties of this powder are low water absorption, high resistance against cathodic-disbonding and controlled reactivity with regard to Lucalen A 3110 M-Adhesive. Raw Material: epoxy resins, Gloss (DIN 67530, measuring angle 60 degree): 68 %.Banking Schedule (DIN 55990, Part 4): 2 min. at 160 degree C or 90 sec. at 225-250degree C. Flow: smooth, Storability (at 20 degree C): minimum 12 months, Gel Time (DIN 55990, 180 degree C): 43 + 5 sec, Erichsen Index (DIN 53156): 6mm, Mandrel Bend Test (DIN 53152): 5 mm
