Goldworth Leaf is a Zimbabwean tobaccon companyn that exports flue
cured tobacco. We produce, process and export Zimbabwean flue cured
tobacco. The company gets it's tobacco from it's contracted
farmers. The tobacco then goes for processing through tipping and
threshing to produces tobacco strips, stems and 1/8 fines.
Products
1) Lamina - This is tobacco that has been processed through tipping
and threshing to produces tobacco strips. The mid rib of the
tobacco leaf has been removed and the tobacco is conditioned
according to customer specifications. Green tobacco is blended
according to customer specifications of quality, nicotine, sugars
and flavour.
2) Cut Rag - This is Lamina that has been further processed into
fine strips to make cigarettes. Again the lamina is blended with
stems to meet customer satisfaction of quality, flavour, nicotine
and sugars.
3) Stems - This is a tobacco byproduct during the lamina processing
of tipping and threshing. Because the tipping and threshing
involves stemming the tobacco mid-rib will be removed from the
tobacco leaf to form stems, long or short.
4) Fines - This another byproduct of the tipping and threshing.
These are fine tobaccos held by 1/*6 but through 1/8 screens during
processing. Again the moisture and size of the fines are determined
by customer spicific requirements.
