​​Roberts Brothers Lumber was founded in ***7 by brothers Pete and Gibby Roberts. Located in the heart of the Berkshires in western Massachusetts, Roberts Brothers Lumber Co. is a second generation family owned forest products business. Our simple, honest philosophy of treating customers and our team with respect, has allowed us to serve the logging and wood products industry for over *0 years. Today, Pete’s son Leonard (Lenny), carries on the family business with the help of over *0 dedicated team members. The Ashfield native is a proud husband and father of two children. As a family business, you will often see Lenny’s wife Joan and kids around the office and inside the mill you can meet second generation team members. With over 2,**0 acres either owned or managed by the company and *2,**0 board feet of lumber produced weekly, the operation has grown into one of the largest forest products operations in Massachusetts and looks forward to many years of continued growth. Traditionally engaged in the production of green dimensional lumber, playground materials, and bark mulch; Roberts Brothers Lumber takes great pride in producing quality products for commercial, residential, and industrial applications. Beginning in January of ***8, Roberts Brothers Lumber and associates will be engaged in the production of new products including dry wood fuel chips (*3% moisture content) and biochar soil amendments.
