Paris Mayor Restricts the Diesel Cars Movement by 2020

Paris is going to another level by taking some serious measure of getting rid from environment concerns. In this case, the mayor of the City Anne Hidalgo has taken a bold step to expel out all the diesel cars by the end of 2020, according to prevention of pollution plan.

 

Anne Hidalgo shared her intensions with the private news agency that only environmental friendly vehicles will be allowed to move on the streets of Capital city. She also emphasized to expand the perambulator areas as well as the lanes for cycling.

"I want diesel cars out of Paris by 2020," stated by Ms Anne Hidalgo in a recent interview published on Sunday.

She further enlightened that there is a big health risk associated with pro-emission vehicles as Parisians living on average six or seven months less than people not exposed to the same levels of pollution.

According to state designed facts, around 84% of the citizens prefer to combat against air pollution, while 54% of the residents are in the favor of banning diesel car by the year 2020.

However, the study conducted by World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed that although diesel engines are more fuel efficient in comparison with petrol engines, but they produce more carbon emissions.
