AMD Hires Ex SE to work beyond work!

An official statement released by the Advanced Micro devices Incorporation (AMD) claiming that they have hired an Ex. Senior Executive of Dell Incorporation in order to drive their company towards the next level. The core objective behind this crucial hiring is to make a shift from the chipmakers to micro-servers and further step forward in different markets.

The former executive of Dell Incorporation  named Forrest Norrod will take control of senior vice president and general manager (G.M) of Advanced Micro devices Incorporation (AMD) Company, paired and semi-custom group of business and will give follow ups to Lisa Su, CEO of AMD; stated in a official news release on Monday.

Forrest Norrod was performing responsibilities of general manager for Dell’s server business project and joined AMD for its new project to develop micro chips for latest power-efficient servers which might be a great challenge for him to work on that will give tough time to the giant Intel Corp. in its revolutionary data centers.

AMD has been augmenting its reach into new market segment such as power efficient microserves and Gaming consoles; however, the growth is not up to mark as required, said Wall Street.

In the month’s starting, Company’s CEO Rory Read replaced by Lisa Su. Norrod filled Su's previous position, which she had held temporarily since July till now.

The appointment of the SU as a CEO was officially announced on Oct. 16 and this change sack 7 percent from working groups to save operating cost.
