Britain Going to Unveil Another Lunar Mystery

The British scientists are aiming to hit the first round of methodical targets through UK’s lunar mission one.

The preliminary and core purpose of the entire mission is to collect the samples of lunar South Pole part to figure out the science of Moon’s geology in order to discover the signs of establishing potential human base.

It is also the part of the mission to bore 100 meters tear below the moon crust to identify the possibilities of having observatories over Lunar’s far side.

The detailed press release of lunar mission one has announced in November 2014.

The originators are expecting to raise the mission funds up to £500m with the help of public donations. However; in return, the contributors will have the chance to send messages, portraits and even their hair samples to bury into the Moon’s surface.

The backers of the mission gave their insights that the project is surrounded with number of scientific objectives. Even though, there have around 50 lunar missions performed so far in which six landings made by Apollo astronauts, however, there are still lots of explorations left behind which needs to be discovered, said Prof Ian Crawford, senior advisor in lunar mission one.

The deepest sample which has been taken out from 50 expeditions since now is not deeper than 3 meters below the surface, he added. The lunar mission one is the first project that will take the samples by drilling 100 meters hold down the surface.

The study will also clear the picture of water presence as past studies indicated that it is found under the surface soil nearby Pole, but they will go deeper to find the enough signs for future human base.

The astronomers are showing their concerns whether the exploration of South Pole would be exactly the worthwhile as it is being presumed.
