Google Trying to lead Cloud Services Competition

The leading name in search engine “Google” has been running behind the Amazon in the field of web services. For catching the growth pace and building awareness, Google has arranged cloud developer convention in order to retain and fascinate other giant players to switch into their cloud platform.

It is even standing nearer to Microsoft’s Azure but still unable to capture the position and stays at the back with late arrivals such as IBM started its cloud based platform of Rackspace and others.

It is not a matter of fact that Amazon leads the market just due to late dive-in by the Google. The approaches of both the competitors are pretty different as during early stages, Google sought after the developers leasing its server facility to utilize Google’s own software extensively. Contrary to this, Amazon came up with the open approach, reported by Wall street journal.

That’s the difference how Amazon covered the whole market by winning several blue chip companies like Netflix and Central Intelligence Agency CIA. To win the race, the Google, Microsoft and others are applying their best possible effort to diminish the cost and increase the dynamic features. Even though, Amazon has trounced the market share, but Google has not been the major player for this slump. To catch up the dominant position, Google has unveiled new addition in its service features and cut down the price and created strategic relationships with the leading internet service dealers.

Google has experienced a horrible slump when taken a step of proposing the virtual machines that supported various OS for instance Linux, aiming to challenge the Amazon's Elastic Cloud Compute product. But now, Google came up to introduce new offering to developers by granting cloud services that will adhere the industrial standards.

So far, Google has not made any significant change in their cloud service platform which it has been claiming to and has started compete its price with Amazon. Relatively, Microsoft and IBM are still offering cheapest rates in particular instances, said RBC analyst Jonathan Atkin

The rising competition in pricing has decreased the profit margins of many companies. The fulfillment of industry’s standard will certainly give the option to the customer moving towards the cheapest service providers and stressing the companies to further lower down the prices.
