The governmental authorities have officially announced that, “Japan posed downward trend in entire industrial production by 1.5 percent in August as compared to last month”.

The statistics was even appalling than 0.3 percent increment forecasted by the analyst after surveying daily business activities, where the industry divulged 0.4 percent rise in July. According of ministry of economy, trade and industry have managed its growth assessment but the industrial production was not up to the expectation and dropped by showing negative growth.

For the year 2010, the production index in factories and mines plunged at 95.5 percent against 100 as a baseline, said by ministry.

The major proportion of such segments that were involved in slowing down the industrial production in August mainly consist of transport equipment, production and business oriented machinery, general purpose machinery and electrical machinery.

The ministry conducted a manufacturer oriented survey and predicted that the industrial production will go up by 6 percent in September and a bit down by 0.2 percent in October.

The growth of industrial shipments dropped by 1.9 percent in August relatively to prior month to 94.1; however, the industrial inventories divulged positive growth of 1 percent to 112.7, as stated by the ministry of economy.
