Uganda searching Pakistans investment

The president of Uganda went on a state visit to Pakistan a few days back where he met with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), and enlightened them with all the real investment opportunities which guarantee and enable the patrons to make profits up to a staggering 300% to 400% on the principle investment.

Pakistani investors are not much in quantity in Uganda and the chairperson of ICCI, Muhammad Shakeel Munir, showed his willingness to invest in such a profitable market and looked forward to have a strong bilateral relationship between the two states!

Ambassador of Uganda, Kisuule gave an assurance to ICCI that the country possesses favorable business environment for the Pakistani investor, as there are a number of foreign investors earning 300% to 400% of profit margins. He further underlined the most profitable industries which are mainly based on steel, pharmaceutical, marble, food processing, to Investors of Pakistan for their motivation.

Moreover, he promised to provide cheap land and prevent all the security concerns of the Investors which make the Uganda a gateway to enter into East African market.

The vice president of ICCI urged to construct strong trade and commercial association between both the countries. He agreed that Uganda is a ideal place for Pakistani investors which need to be explored through exchange of trade shows and business delegations in both the sides to fill this gap. Mr. shakeel munir has shown his interest to tie closer with Ugandan embassy in Iran and Pakistan for promoting healthy and long term business relationship with the help of attracting private sectors.

Mr. Munir also suggested that their key items such as home appliances textile, food products, surgical instruments, marble products, rice, pharmaceutical and sports and leather goods could get an exposure in the Uganda and East African markets to a greater extent. Though, he is committed to prevent all the barriers that could be impacted in successful two-sided trading relationships between Islamabad and Kampala.
