The RockShox Reba RL fork matches the rear ends **0mm for a balanced ride. As XC racecourses have become more technically demanding, so XC race bikes have changed too; the Epics geometry is now longer, slacker and lower, with a *7.5° head angle for confidence on steep descents and tricky sections.

Shimanos SLX **-speed groupset and hydraulic disc brakes are highly dependable, giving reliable shifting and tireless braking in all conditions. The massive ****1 cassette has low enough ratios for the steepest climbs without spinning out on the descents, so whether racing for a podium or a KOM the right gear is always to hand.

The Epic rolls on *9x2.3 Specialized Fast Trak tyres on *5mm wide, tubeless-ready alloy rims so rolling resistance is low, grip high and tubeless conversion easy. The bike is finished with a selection of Specialized components and a Body Geometry saddle, along with an integrated SWAT EMT Cage-Mount Tool for any trail-side repairs.
