ADI(austempered ductile iron), is kind of a ductile iron which is processed by a special heat treatment. From material structure point, ADI is austenite-baninite association, which is formed by bainitic ferrite and residual austenite stablilized by carbon and silicon. It has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, like high strength, hardness, good impact toughness, and good working hardening capacity.
