The air-cooled eddy current brake is used for drawworks assistant brake in offshore and onshore petroleum drilling rigs. It adopts forced ventilation cooling by blower fan. The brake offers the following advantages: Great brake torque, no easy -to-wear parts, long service life, and easy in operation and maintenance. etc. In addition, conpared with water-cooled brake, its cooling system is simplified and cooling effect is much better. When its speed is *0rpm, the brake can also apply *5% of maximum brake torque, completely meeting the drilling need under heavy load.
