It is composed of crystal phase and spinel, and characteristic of mass density,high specific gravity,less blowhole porosity, high honding strength, high hardness,high softening point under load, good abrasion resistance, roding resistance oxidation resistance, good thermal shock resistance as well as strong corroding resistance for smelting slag. They ar e widely used in various smelting equipments. For top-blown, there ar Ausmelt furnaces, Kaldo furnaces; for side-blown, Baiyin furnaces Nolanda furnacs, convertrs; and for bottom-blown,SKS oxygen botto-blown smelting furnaces, QSL bottom-blown furnaces; in addition, there are also flash furnaces, electric dilution furnaces, zinc-volatilizing rotary kiln,and inside linings of cement rotary kilns and glass kilns. Their lifespan has been one tims longer than those of magnesium chromium, magnesium aluminum and aluminum silicate.
