Ammonium nitrate is a universal basic nitrogen fertilizer. On the effectiveness of it has been ranked among nitrogen fertilizers. Can be used on all types of soils and crops, as the core, and as a preplant fertilizer top dressing. At buffer, non-acidic soils (pH> **7) may use permanent nitrate.
