VVRS FEEDLOT CONCENTRATE PELLETS

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

VVRS FEEDLOT CONCENTRATE PELLETS are a concentrate suitable to be mixed with grain and a roughage to produce a balanced ration for feeding to feedlot cattle.

COMPOSITION

Limestone, dicalcium phosphate, urea, potassium chloride, ammonium sulphate, salt, vegetable oil, wheat, bran, pollard, monensin sodium, VVRS ruminant vitamin & mineral premix.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

&#x***2; Mix 5% (*0kg/tonne) of VVRS FEEDLOT CONCENTRATE PELLETS, *0% roughage and grain to form a balanced feedlot ration for cattle.

&#x***2; Additional lime will need to be included in the ration.

&#x***2; Protein meals may be needed to increase the protein of the feedlot ration to a suitable level. This will depend on the protein level of the grain and the desired protein level in the ration.

&#x***2; Suitable for cattle over **0kg liveweight. Cattle destined for local or export markets. Cattle being fed in feedlot pens or paddock based feeding.

&#x***2; Buffers (Bentonite or Sodium bicarbonate) can be included at **2% to aid in preventing acidosis.

&#x***2; Molasses can be included, to reduce fines and encourage intake of the ration.

&#x***2; DO NOT FEED DIRECTLY IN CONCENTRATED FORM.

&#x***2; Ensure that there is ample access to clean water.

&#x***2; Introduce cattle to this ration gradually over a **3 week period.

&#x***2; Feed greater amounts of roughage to the cattle, for the first **3 weeks of feeding. By mixing higher levels of roughage in the ration or by limiting the intake of the ration and supplying extra roughage in a rack.

&#x***2; The following table gives an indication of a suitable feeding program for the cattle.

&#x***2; The concentrate supplies essential protein, vitamins and minerals required for growth. Complementing the nutrients present in the grain to form a balanced ration.

This feed contains the following veterinary chemical:-

Monensin sodium is added to this feed to improve the efficiency of rumen digestion, improve feed efficiency, weight gain and aid in the control of bloat.
