Our engineers work with you to assist in designing an integrated back lighting solution to fit your requirements for cost, light uniformity, intensity, environmental requirements, and operating life. LED technology allows selective back lighting of text and graphics and costs significantly less than other back lighting strategies. LED back lighting uniformity can be significantly enhanced by incorporating fiber optics to distribute light uniformly. Electro Luminescence (EL) provides excellent light uniformity with very low power consumption. The advantages of EL Lamps are: • Uniform backlight • Thin (.**7" typ>) • Flexible, and can be put on top of tactile domes • Low power (.5 mA per sq in typ.)
