Product Description

Benazepril Hydrochloride is the first competitive angiotensin coverting enzyme inhibitor without hydrosulphonyl developed by Ciba-Geigy company. It is a pro-drug. After oral administration and absorption, it hydrolyzes into  its active form hydrolysate Benazeprilat by the liver, and combines with angiotensin coverting enzyme competitively to reduce the activity of ACE, and block up ACE transforming angiotension I into angiotensin II, and decrease vascular resistance to lower blood pressure. Clinically it is used in the treatment of hypertension, congestive heart failure. It is WHO recommended preferred anti-hypertension medicine with curative effect and small side effect
