  Sodium hypochlorite generator is a device works through the electrolysis of weak salt water/sea water. The whole system consists of electrolytic electrode assembly, rectification power and automatic control system, dissolving system, filtering system, proportioning device, etc. . The salt water/sea water is electrolyzed into sodium hypochlorite which is a kind of disinfectant which gets strong antivirus and bleaching effects. The strong oxidant is widely used to sterilize in food processing enterprises, nuclear power plant, thermal power plant circulating water system, petrochemicals, printing and dyeing enterprises, drinking water hospitals, etc..

Sodium hypochlorite liquid is applied in the drinking water plant:

   - By dissolving salt in water, which results in a concentrated brine solution. The solution is electrolyzed and forms a sodium hypochlorite solution in water. This solution contains **0 g active chlorine (Cl2) per liter. During this reaction the explosive hydrogen gas is also formed.

                                                      Cl2 + 2NaOH + → NaOCl + NaCl + H2O

                                                            NaCl + H2O →  NaClO + H2 ↑  

      Advantages:

               It can easily and be stored and transported when it is produced on-site. Dosage is simple.

               Transport and storage of sodium hypochlorite are safe. Sodium hypochlorite is as effective as                          chlorine gas for disinfection. Sodium hypochlorite produces residual disinfectant.
