Grades and Classification
Cashew kernels are graded on how white they are (W: white, S: scorched, D: dessert), how broken they are (W: whole, S: split, B: butt, P: piece) and what size they are (180 kernels/lb, 210 kernels/lb, 240 kernels/lb, 320 kernels/lb, 450 kernels/lb).

  Processing

The purpose of cashew nut processing is to extract the nice, healthy, tasty and nutritionous kernels from the raw nuts in shell.

Cleaning: remove foreign matter.
Sizing: allow the nuts roasted properly with different sizes during roasting stage.
Soaking in water: facilitate oil roasting and shelling stages.
Hot oil roasting: extract cashew nut shell liquid and make the nuts easier for shelling.
Sizing: facilitate shelling stage.
Shelling: separate kernels from shell.
Drying: facilitate peeling stage and also protect kernels from pest and fungal attack.
Peeling: remove testa
Grading: grade into 26 grades
Cleaning: remove dust, foreign matters and fumigate to prevent insect and pest attack.
Packaging: packed as customers requirement. Usually vacuumised and sealed.

  Standard packaging and weight
The cashew kernels are packed in plastic bag with vacuum pressure and sealed, net weight 25 lbs (11.34 kg) or 50 lbs (22.68 kg) per plastic bag. Then carton box covers outside plastic bag.
The cashew kernels are also packed in tins with net weight of 25 lbs (or 11.34 kg). Then the tins are vacuumised and sealed. Two tins are packed in a carton. The net weight of a carton is 50 lbs (or 22.68 kg). For export, cashew kernels usually ship in 20 feet container with 700 - 720 cartons.

Sometimes, the products are also packed to suit customers requirement.

  Quality
Our products meet international standard of cashew kernels (ISOs standard of agricultural products, Association of Food Industries of New York (AFI) and Vietnamese cashew kernels standard (TCVN 4850 1998)). Besides that, the products are inspected by SGS, Vinacontrol or Cafecontrol when they are exported.
