Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) is the biomass fuel extracted from the cashew nut shell. CNSL has the similar calorific value as Fuel Oil. CNSL is used as additives in or replacement for Diesel, Heavy Fuel Oil, Light Fuel Oil. Recent years, CNSL is used as fuel in thermal power generation, in manufacting high quality paints and varnishes, laminating resins, in cement kiln, coating layer on ceramic tiles, used to produce cardanol, refined CNSL.
