STANDARD INGOTS: The ingots each weigh *0kg and are stacked in pallets weighing **0 - ***0 kg. They are re-melted for alloying in foundry plants. T–INGOTS: These are cast and then sawed to lengths of between **0 and **5mm. The ingots weigh between **0 and **0kg, depending on customer requirements, and range in metal quality from A6 – A8. Production Process KAP’s operations are fully integrated and comprise the following elements: The Alumina Refinery, designed with Pechiney technology, produces floury alumina and has a capacity of **0, **0 metric tonnes a year. It fully supplies KAP’s aluminum plant . The Aluminum Plant, which consists of a Carbon Plant, Smelter (or potlines), Casthouse, and Secondary Smelter. The Carbon Plant, which produces *5, **0 metric tonnes of anodes each year. It has a green mill with a vibrating press, an open top anode baking furnace and a rod shop. The Smelter, using Pechiney technology with side break, consists of two potlines, each containing **4 pots (cells). Currently, the potlines are operated at *0, **0 amperes, which produces **0, **0 metric tonnes of molten aluminum each year. The Casthouse has three T-ingot lines, one standard ingot line, and a capacity of **5, **0 tonnes each year. The Secondary Smelter recovers scrap aluminum and dross from the casthouse and potlines.
