PMT Industries Limited commenced manufacturing operations at the above address in November ***6, primarily for the production of Yankee Dryers, MG Cylinders, and other Paper Dryers for the papermaking industry. However, with our state of the art foundry facilities we are also able to manufacture ferrous castings for customers outside of the papermaking sector. Our foundry has one of the largest and fastest melting capacity medium frequency electric furnace installations in Europe. The twin 9 MW inverter powered and computer controlled furnaces melt *8 Tonnes of iron per hour, with each *2 Tonne charge being melted to ***0°C in just *8 minutes. In addition we also have a 2.4 MW 6 ton medium frequency furnace for smaller castings. Both traditional and modern moulding techniques are used by our highly skilled moulders to produce high quality castings in a range of materials, sizes and weights for various industries ***** papermaking, machine tools, pumps, press tools, dies and general engineering. Moulding boxes range in size from 4’ x 4’ to *0’ x 7’ x 5’ with pits up to *0’ diameter and *4’ deep. Casting poured weights range from **0 kg to **4, **0 kg in grey iron and *0, **0 kg in ductile iron over a full range of grades. The available technology, plus the traditional foundry skills, craftsmanship and quality control systems ensure the integrity of all castings.
