Cat's Claw (Uncaria tometosa Wild. Ex Roem & Schut DC) is a plant native to Brazil.  The plant get's it name from the claw like thorns present on the aerial portion of the plant.  However, it is the root bark of this plant that is used for its medicinal properties.  

Used by the natives peoples for hundreds of years as a general 'health tonic', this root bark has been studied my modern science for its positive affect on arthritis and inflammation, pain reduction and anti-oxidant capabilities.  The most recent and on going studies are focused on cancerous tumor reduction and post-chemotherapy treatment. 

Cat's Claw Bark is both wildcrafted and cultivated and is deemed a sustainable crop.  It is available in rough cut (for extraction), tea cut (for loose or bagged teas), or powder forms (for tablets or capsules).  Extract form is not commercially available at this time.  Halal, Kosher and Organic certification can be offered for this product.
