Western Red Cedar Handsplit/Resawn (HS/RS) Shakes have been used as a first choice roofing material in North America and other parts of the world for over a century. Naturally hand-split then re-sawn, this will provide both a flat lying roof and a rustic appearance to further compliment your project. All shakes come in *8” and *4” lengths with a butt thickness of 1/2”, 3/4”, 1” and beyond.

Tapersawn Shakes

Western Red Cedar Tapersawn Shakes are sawn on both sides giving it a look similar to a sawn shingle but with a thicker appearance, Tapersawn Shakes are known for their smooth uniform imposing look providing an exceptional looking roof. All Tapersawn Shakes come in *8” and *4” lengths with a butt thickness of 5/8”, 3/4”, 7/8”, 1”.

Western Red Cedar Shingles have a universal appeal and are an excellent choice for roofing and siding, very popular around the world especially in Europe and Australasia. Shingles are sawn on both sides and provide a very clean and sleek look. Shingles come in *6”, *8” or *4” lengths with varying thicknesses.

WRC Sidewall (R&R) Shingles are increasingly being used on siding projects ranging from residential homes to architectural masterpieces. The shingles are kiln dried then re-butted and re-jointed (R&R) to ensure that they are *0° on all four corners for perfect uniform placement, finally they are packaged into boxes. Additionally, they can be pre-stained or primed, sanded as well as grooved (striated) prior to packaging in boxes.
