This relief has been made to look like it has been found into some roman ruins. Carved into Pario marble, represents a chariot during one of those race that romans have been organizing to entertain themselves.
Several signs that it has been found and is really an old piece are the border of the relief itself, not regular, as it was part of a bigger sculpture or inserted into a wall; all the surface, made rounded and scraped as it has been worn out and damaged by time and elements.
