Product Specification

  • Type: Ground Coffee

Product Description

Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, which are the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant. The genus Coffea is native to tropical Africa, Madagascar, and the Comoros, Mauritius and Runion in the Indian Ocean.  [2]  The plant was exported from Africa to countries around the world and coffee plants are now cultivated in over *0 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. The two most commonly grown are the highly regarded arabica, and the less sophisticated but stronger and more hardy robusta. Once ripe, coffee beans are picked, processed, and dried. Dried coffee beans are roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor. Roasted beans are ground and brewed to produce coffee as a beverage.

The traditional method of planting coffee is to place *0 seeds in each hole at the beginning of the rainy season. This method loses about *0% of the seeds' potential, as about half fail to sprout. A more effective method of growing coffee, used in Brazil, is to raise seedlings in nurseries that are then planted outside at six to twelve months. Coffee is often intercropped with food crops, such as corn, beans, or rice during the first few years of cultivation as farmers become familiar with its requirements. Coffee plants grow within a defined area between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, termed the bean belt or coffee belt.

At *1 Pilots, we take pride in exporting the high grade of coffee to Gulf, Africa and Europe. Our focus has been primarily on delivering quality goods and seamless service which differentiates us from the herd.
