Contactless Smart card is a plastic identification card containing electronic memory, and in some cases, an embedded integrated circuits.

It do not need to make contact with the reader to be read, this capability is implemented using a tiny RFID tag in the card; the intent is to provide the user with greater convenience by speeding checkout or authentication processes.
