Unlike other cooling methods such as contact cooling, cryogen spray or ice packs, it can cool the epidermis before, during and after laser energy has been applied without interfering with the laser beam.
The Cryo air intake filter (metal screen on back of unit) needs *2” to *8” of free space to effectively draw room air. Do not place Cryo unit up against a wall or curtain that may restrict air flow and reduce cooling efficiency. Do not operate unit near a heat source. Laser device heat outflow and or heating ducts may generate heat that if located close to the Cryo air intake will reduce performance.
