C45E steel is a common medium carbon steel accding to DIN standard,and 1.1191 steel is under W-Nr Germany standard.It is widely used in machinery manufacturing.The mechanical properties of C45E carbon steel is very good.DIN 1.1191 carbon steel can be hardened to HRC42~46. C45E steel will play superior mechanical properties after the carburizing and quenching.

1)Preheat DIN C45E carbon steel uniformly and slowly.
2)Raise the forging temperature up to 1160°C.
3)Keep the forging temperature above 860°C.

Hardening&Tempering
1)Increase the temperature up to 870°C;
2)It's better to quench 1.1191 steel material in the oil;
3)Heat C45E steel to the temperature about 550°C;
4)Hold at this temperature for 2 hours per 25mm thickness;
5)Cool W-Nr 1.1191 carbon steel in the air or furnace.

Annealing
1)Heat DIN 1.1191 steel round bars slowly and thoroughly to 780°C;
2)Cool C45E steel in the furnace to the temperature 480°;
3)Complete annealing the steel in the air.

Normalizing
1)Heating the temperature to 860°C;
2)Cool the 1.1191 steel down to 20°C in the air.
