Used for nephrostomy, abscess, and other multipurpose drainage applications. Catheter placement is performed using one step (direct puncture) technique. The easy-to-use, reliable safety string lock system provides strong fixation of the pigtail while maintaining patient comfort. Hydrophilic coating, when activated, becomes very lubricous and reduces greatly the coefficient of friction. The decreased friction of the distal catheter tipping surface facilitates catheter introduction. 4 large oval drainage holes increase drainage capability. Supplied sterile in peel-open packages. Intended for one-time use.
