Description:

Biohouse® Hard Wax Oil is a wood finish made from fast curing plant oils and carnauba wax. It is suitable

for indoor wooden products, especially ideal for wooden flooring, staircase or worktop that is subject to traffic

or wear.

The oil penetrates into wood and forms micro-porous, water repellent surface. The surface will not crack,

peel, flake or blister.

Biohouse Hard Wax Oil does not contain any harmful substances and is environment friendly. The dried

surface is food contact safety according to FDA *1CFR**5.**0 and suitable for children's toys according to

EN***3.

Biohouse Hard Wax Oil is labelled A+ under French VOC emission regulations.

Surface treatment:

Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost free, maximum moisture content *0%, old paint or varnish must

be sanded off first.

The final sanding of the bare wood should be no finer than #**0. Too fine sanding could slow down the

penetration of the oil and delay the drying time.

Application:

Stir thoroughly before use.

For floor

with brush or roller

Use bristle brush or roller and apply one thin coat evenly and thoroughly along wood grain. After approximately *5 minutes, remove the surplus oil with cloth. Leave the floor to dry for **8 hours under good ventilation. Buff the dry surface with white polishing pad. Apply the second coat with the same method. (Second coat is normally not necessary for previously-oiled surfaces.)

(2) with buffing machine

Spread the oil evenly on the floor with scraper, brush or roller. After approximately *5 minutes, buff the

surface with buffing machine with white pad. Apply the second coat with the same method within 1or 2 hours

before the first coat of oil gets hardened. After buffing the surface with white pad, buff the surface with cloth

under the pad to remove surplus oil.

For furniture

Use bristle brush or cloth and apply one thin coat evenly and thoroughly along wood grain. After

approximately *5 minutes, remove the surplus oil with cloth. Leave the floor to dry for **8 hours under good

ventilation. Sand the dry surface with sandpaper #**0 or #**0. Apply the second coat with the same

method.

Drying time:

*0ºC,RH*0%, provided good ventilation

Dust dry: approx. 6 hours

Walkable: approx. *4 hours

Fully hardened: approx. 7 - *4 days. During this period please do not cover the floor with carpet.

Coverage:

*0 - *6 m2 / L in 1 coat

*8 - *5 m2 / L in 2 coats

Coverage varies greatly on different wood species, surface smoothness, application method, etc.

Packing:

Available in 0.*6L, 0.*5L, 2.5L and *0L drums.

Tool cleaning:

Use biohouse® Superclean Thinner **0.

Maintenance:

For daily cleaning, use water or water added with Biohouse Natural Soap **0.

For maintenance, use Biohouse Maintenance Oil **1 or **8 (aqua).
