1. Intended use
The Bioperfectus Technologies® Herpes Simplex Virus Real Time PCR Kit is in human cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples or vesicle material (swabs in saline transport medium) when using the High Pure Viral Nucleic Acid Kit according to the workflow. It is an in vitro diagnostic assay that utilizes real-time PCR amplification of nucleic acids for detection of HSV DNA.

3. Storage
l The Bioperfectus Technologies® Herpes Simplex Virus Real Time PCR Kit is shipped on dry ice. The components of the kit should arrive frozen. If components are not frozen upon receipt, contact Bioperfectus Technologies for assistance.
l All reagents should be stored at**0 centigrade until the expiration date listed on the outer kit box. Storage at *4 centigrade above should not be recommended.
l Protect Reaction Mix from light during storage.
Repeated freezing and thawing of reagents (more than five times) should be avoided, as this might affect the performance of the assay. The reagents should be frozen in aliquots, if they are to be used intermittently.
