The plant cannabis sativa is an ancient crop, description of which is found in the writings of the Roman writer Pliny the Elder. He wrote that it was used in cooking, as well as in medicine and household.

One of hemp oil components is chlorophyll, which gives the oil its greenish tint. But the main merit of chlorophyll, and therefore, the oil, is that it prevents cancer tumours in the body, and the regular use of hemp oil reduces the risk of oncologic diseases.

In addition, hemp seed oil contains indispensable polyunsaturated fatty acid omega*3 and a full range of aminoacids. Hemp oil has the optimal correlation of two essential fatty acids omega*3 and omega*6 in the ratio of 1:3 respectively. Fatty linolenic and alpha-linolenic acids, which are necessary for growth, are also found in hemp oil.

Apart from acids, the oil comprises vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E, K, D, trace elements and minerals calcium, zinc, iron, phosphorus, potassium, manganese and sulphur.
