Continuous-slot Johnson screen pipe

Application

The continuous-slot screen, widely usedthroughout the world for water, oil, and gas wells, is the dominant screen typeused in the water well industry.

ProductionMethods

1. Winding cold-rolled wire, approximatelytriangular in cross section, around a circular array of the longitudinal rods.
2. The wire is attached to the rods bywelding, producing rigid one-piece units having high strength characteristicsat minimum weights.
3. Slot opening are manufactured by spacingsuccessive turns of the outer wire to produce the desired slot size. All slotsshould be clean and free of burns and cuttings.
4. Process: for carbon steel screen, we canpaint black lacquer or silver lacquer, or galvanized; stainless steel screenwill be polished.
5. Package: inner bubble bag and outer wovenbag. Wooden box can be employed if needed.

SpecificationDetails:

1. OD(outside diameter): usually **5/8” 7”  **5/8” **5/8”  ***3/4”  *2" ***3/4”by  our customers’requirements.
2. Material:carbon steel or stainless steel(**1,**4,**4L,**6, **6L,…)
3. Slot size: given by customers. We can do 0.***2mm.
4. Open area: a maximum open area of *0% is offered facilitating highflow capacity and low inlet resistance resulting in extended well life. 
5. Wire and rod dimensions: obtainedthrough well depth, or collapse strength and tensile strength, which arefurnished by customers.
6. Connection types: usually STC threads or a passage of welded ring (plainend or beveled end), both of them are welded together with the portion ofscreen.
7.  Unit length: we suggest 2.9m or 5.8m, to fit the container.
