India is one of the world’s most populous countries, loosely defined as the world’s largest democracy.  India produces a wide variety of coffee mainly in the south of the country, including both Arabica and Robusta varieties. Coffee is generally produced on a plantation-ownership basis with the small holder and cooperative structure comparatively rare.
The arabica is medium to low body with some sweetness. Sethuraman Estates located at Magundi in Chikmagalur, in south West of India, began its operations in ***0s with target to produce good quality Robusta coffees.  This particular Robusta selection is set apart from other as it is threat as an Arabica bean, starting from picking techniques. All the way down to drying and pulping. The end result is a balance coffee with little of a typical woody notes that a Robusta bean would develop.
