Integral Heavy Weight Drill Pipe is made from ***5H alloy steel and fully heat treated, all physical properties conform to the latest API Spec7. Heavy Weight Drill Pipe is the transition section between ordinary Kelly and drill collar. It can relieve the stress concentration of the combination of drill collar and Kelly during the transition. Besides, it can provide drill pressure and reduce the linked area of drill stem and side wall, as well as wear rate of OD. There is an upset section in the middle of drill pipe. The drill pipe and joint are welded with cemented carbide hardbanding, which can efficiently keep the pipe from wearing. HWDP can replace drill collar and solve series of problems appearing in the vertical well of softer geologic structure. Its advantages are as follows:
