Product description:Lumbrokinase is an enzyme derived from Lumbricus rubellus (earthworms). Lumbricus rubellus has been used for centuries in the Far East as a traditional medicine. The earthworm's ability to break down fibrin (a fibrous protein involved in the clotting of blood) was reported in the ***0's. Since then, scientists in Japan have succeeded in extracting a fibrin dissolving enzyme consisting of six proteolytic (protein digesting) enzymes, which are collectively named Lumbrokinase.
