The manual tissue microarrayer is used in the Histopathology laboratory to fabricate tissue micro-Arrays. The manual tissue microarrayer set are principally used for research purposes.

The manual tissue microarrayer set comes with one puncher, 5 tips(1.5mm optional) of each size, and 1 recipient block of each size, and a base mold (to hold the recipient block while the tissue cores are transferred to it), guide for 1mm recipient block, a tissue puncher with changeable tips of different diameters.

Currently, 5 different sizes recipient blocks are available: 1, 1.5(optional), 2, 3, and 5 mm in diameters. The puncher allows the user to retrieve cylindrical cores of tissues from donor tissues embedded in paraffin blocks. The cores are then distributed into a single use recipient block.

The patented recipient block is made of a special material that melts when heated at *0oC for *0 minutes. The recipient block has pre-made, evenly spaced round orifices (wells) arranged in a square matrix (array).
