 The MD HIV 1/2 and Subtype O test kit is a  rapid screening test to detect the presence of antibodies to HIV 1, HIV 2 and Subtype O. This test is of the new generation lateral flow immunochromatographic type assays and is designed to be robust and reliable in a point of care setting. The test can be used with serum, plasma, or whole blood. The format employs the use of a recombinant antigen cocktail conjugated to colloidal gold and a complementary set of recombinant antigens immobilized on the membrane. The capture line cocktail set allow for diagnosis of HIV*1, HIV*2, and Subtype O.
