TECHNICAL INFO: Standard: IEC****2 or BS***2 Conductor: Copper or aluminium up to ***0sq mm, circular compacted and stranded by IEC**8 class 2. Conductor screen: Extruded layer of semi-conducting compound applied under simultaneous triple extrusion process over the conductor along with the insulation and the insulation screen. Insulation: Extruded layer of XLPE applied over conductor screen under triple extrusion process along with conductor screen and insulation screen. Insulation screen: A layer of semi-conducting compound applied by triple extrusion process over the insulation. Metallic screen: A layer of copper tape applied helically with overlap over insulation screen. Laying-up: In case of 3 core cables, the 3 cores are laid up with non-hygroscopic fillers like PP fillers at interstices and a binder tape is applied with an overlap. Binder tapes can be of PVC or foamed Polyethylene. Inner sheath (bedding): Extruded layer of PVC or PE applied over the laid up cores. PVC or PE as per IEC****2 part 2. Armour: In case of armored cables, the armour is applied over inner sheath. For single core cables, aluminium wire for armor; for multi-core cables, galvanized steel wire, steel tape or steel strip for armor option. Outer sheath: Extruded layer of PVC, PE, HDPE, or MDPE. Voltage rating: 3.3kv to *8/*0/*6kv Remarks: The cable can be with special screen and other enhanced features.
